Discover the Cactus Collection

Sofiane Bouhali

The new Azala collection draws its inspiration from an imaginary road trip across the United States. Named Cactus, it is a tribute to craftsmanship, nature, and the uniqueness of upcycled materials.

It embodies a vision of fashion where innovation and sustainability meet, offering a concrete alternative to an industry marked by overproduction.

Upcycling as an Aesthetic Manifesto

For Azala, upcycling is not a constraint, but a creative principle. Every fabric scrap, every dormant thread is an opportunity for a new aesthetic narrative.

This approach, which places reuse at the heart of the process, transforms the rejection of waste into a true stylistic choice. Existing material becomes the starting point for a unique piece.

Genesis of the Collection: A Textile Road Trip

Travel is at the heart of our designer Laurence Zaoui's process. For the Cactus collection, she envisioned a journey across the United States, from the Californian coast to the Mojave Desert.

This epic journey is translated into a narrative color palette: an oceanic emerald blue sits alongside the orange and violet hues of arid twilights. The worker jacket, an iconic piece of the American wardrobe, is reinterpreted here through the prism of patchwork and our savoir-faire.

Material at the Heart of Manufacturing

A commitment to responsible fashion means no compromise on quality. Each piece in the Cactus collection is the result of meticulous attention to detail.

The making of our garments incorporates carefully selected elements:

  • 100% cotton fabrics for comfort and durability.
  • Threads from batches unused by the industry.
  • Buttons from deadstock.

It is in these details that our definition of meaningful design lies, both for those who wear it and for its environment.

Launch and Outlook

Presented at several professional events in Europe, the Cactus collection has received a reception that confirms the relevance of our approach.

The launch is organized in several phases. The first chapter, named « Émeraude, » is now available. Others will follow over the next six weeks. To meet growing demand, three of our styles will also be available in adult sizes starting in November.
